Morning Breeze
I ran down stairs, almost tripping over the stairs.
“I’m gonna be so late!” I gulped down my bacon and milk. I stumbled to get my shoes. I ran outside and tripped over my own feet. I was so careless that morning. Wait, what am I talking about? I’m always so careless!
“Gah!”
The bus came and people were pointing and laughing. I groaned as I approached on the bus.
“Hiya Sara,” said my friend, Alyssa.
“Hola,” I greeted her back. I pulled out my I pod for us to listen to. “Broken head phone for me again?”
“Yup!” Alyssa giggled.
We were listening to love songs as usual. I was looking out the window. It’s still pretty dark. I could see a couple of stars. I leaned my head toward the window.
We got off the bus and I saw Nick running towards the door.
“Whatever,” I thought in my mind. I spun around and saw Ryan walking with his friend, Tim. I sighed with a bright smile as Kiet came up to us from her bus.
“Hi, guys,” she said to Alliyah, Alyssa, and I.
“Hey,” I was the only one who heard her, or at least answered her. We walked towards the school building. I felt so weird around Alliyah now. I remembered how good friends we were. We always joked around and Alliyah always talked about, Haden, her crush and best guy friend. Now Haden moved away and Alliyah felt so lonely. I felt so bad for her. She deserves Nick more than I do. Alliyah never jokes anymore. When I play around with her, she always takes things seriously. She changed so fast. So fast a human can’t really take. I turned around, “Morning, Liyah.”
“Morning,” she replied with a boring accent.
I sighed and turned back knowing she would never change back to her old self again. She’s been like this since four months ago.
I guess I’ve changed too. I never really joke around anymore. I hope I’m not becoming mature! Mature are for people who can’t have fun!
“Sara? You look worried,” stated Kiet. Kiet was my friend ever since grade school. Well, maybe not since that. I loved touching Kiet’s hair because it was so soft and long. Kiet told her to stop but I didn’t. I was the one who started waving at Kiet whenever she sees her. We soon talked and became friends with each other in third grade.
“Hmmm..,” I said without answering her question. Kiet guessed that I was probably thinking about a certain person.
