How do you help a troubled teen?
i have a 14 year old boy who is very troubled . he is always sleeping and wants to be alone in his room. i sometimes saw him getting smokes. and see his friends drinking with him. he do not want to listen to me. he is always yelling at me as if we are at the same age. i dont know what really is his problem , is it me or our place ? what do you think made him like this ?

He’s maturing. Most boys in their freshmen year go through this phase, because of all the testosterone and hormones. but be careful. make sure he doesn’t hang out with the wrong friends. he might be doing drugs in his room or became addicted to the computer.

well im 13 and i no that a lot of my friends brothers are like that and i found that if ur just really calm and loving he’ll come around but u should be careful about who he hangs with and if hes with the roung people u should talk to him about it and let him tell u his side 1st and dont jugde or interupt (my dad and i go to a counsler cuz of that)oh and be open but he sounds like a normal teen ur doing a great job
