For too long had she held in her pain. She was ready to just let go. Her closest friends and family couldnt stop her now. Having no on eo tlove in a passionate way, she thought it best to leave the world. As she stoood on the ledge of that glorious bridge, she could only reminisce about the earlier days..Hey baby! the young man said as he answered the phone.Hey hun! Ive missed you! Hows your trip so far? she anxiously asked.Ive missd you too babe. he paused for a moment..Is everything alright?! she worridly questioned.Yeah, everything is fine. I have something to ask, but Im coming home early, so Ill ask you then.Oh, why are you coming home early?I really miss you, & we need to discuss our future.The conversation went on for hours after he said that. As he got on his plane and started hom, all Laianna could do was sit, wait, & think. She had a lot going through her mind:Whats going to be our future? Why is Nathan coming home early?You see, Laianna had fallen madly in love with Nathan for the past few months, but he was never home to notice. The young couple had been together for 7 monts, & Nathan was gone for most of it. His job was very demanding on traveling, & he wasnt sure how much olnger Laianna & his relationship would last. He never noticed how deeply in love she was with him.Several hours later, Nathan returned home to his girlfriend, Laianna. When he got into the house, Laianna could tell something was wrong. He didnt give her a hug nor kiss. He simply took her by the hand & led her to the living room.Nathan, whats wrong? You havent said a word to me or so much as look me in the eyes since you got home.Lai, I think we should break up, I met this girl while I was in Paris. I think I love her.What?! Laianna screamed & bursted out into tears. You were gone 2 weeks & youre in love with someone else?!Im sorry babe, but I just dont think our relationship will work, Im moving out & leaving tonight.Not a single word was spoken the rest of the night. In the morning Nathan grabbed his bags & left. Laianna spent the rest of the day sulking in her tears.A few weeks past & Laianna had been feeling sick. She told her friend Jezebel she had, had morning sickness for a while now.Jezebel snapped.Are you pregnant?I dont nkow, I never tested, I dont think I am. Laianna replied.Upon this short conversation, the two friends jumped in the care & headed for the doctors office. After waiting several moments, the doctor ran a pregnancy test.Laianna, we checked the test three times, youre pregnant The doctors words shocked her.The news was too shocking for her, she had nothing to say. She quickly went home to call Nathan, but stop herself.I dont want to seem like a burden to him & ruin his life. She thought to herself.A few weeks passed, & then months. She had since found out she was having a baby boy. She had already picked out his name, Derreck Jeremiah Sanchez. She was going to be a single mother and prepared for it all. But she never thought she would have complications with her pregnancy.4 a.m. in the morning:Jezi! You need to come pick me up now! I have to get to the hospital Laianna screamed in pain. Laianna was rushed to the E.R. for an emergency C-section. She was losing a lot of blood, & the baby couldnt breath. After getting the baby free of the womb, they immediately hurried to save both lives.10 a.m.- 6 hours later:Where am I? Laianna asks looking in a daze.The hospital, you had to get an emergency C-section. Jezebel informs her friend.Well then wheres Derreck?? Wheres my son?Tears filled Jezebels eyes as she shook her head.NO! Laianna screams as she bursts out into tears. Only two weeks have past since Laianna lost her son. She had sunk into a deep depression that not even her medication could break. Now she stands on the ledge of that glorious bridge. She readied herself to jump, & leaped from 30 ft. up, her body slammed into the awaiting river below. No one could save her. She had lost her one true love & her only son. Nathan, still in Paris with his, now, fiance, recieved a letter in the mail. This is what it read:Dear Nathan, This is Laiannas friend, Jezebel. Im not sure if you remember me, but I have news which I feel you need to hear. Laianna was pregnant with your son when you left her. She found out a few weeks after you moved out. She didnt want to tell you because she didnt want to mess up your new relationship. But the pregnancy went wrong, & she lost the child. Losing you & then her son cause Laianna to go into an uncurable depression. She killed herself two days ago. Im sorry, I just thought you should know. Sincerely, Jezebel M. Nathan broke down into tears. For this was the first time her realized how deeply in love Laianna was with him, & how deeply in love he was with her. Now he lost his one true love & hes only son. A few days later, Nathan too, took his life. He left a not saying this:Im sorry for everything. I hope by doing this I will be reunited with my one true love, Laianna, & my unborn son, Derreck. I shouldve never left her, & for that I am extremely sorry. I can no longer grieve over my loses, so I too must be with my family & take my life. -Nathan The three were once more united in heaven, where their souls could finally rest in peace. This was the ending to three lives full of pain, two peoples love triumphing & falling at the same time. Keep your loved ones near, & never let the ones that love ou go. You never know what may happen in the end
